As we march towards the November elections, Obama has stepped up his pace of issuing unconstitutional executive orders which encroach on the liberties of large segments of the American population in his attempt to secure the Leftwing and illegal alien voting blocs. He has offended Jews by kicking their homeland by the wayside and now Catholics and other religious groups by inserting Fedzilla’s proboscis where it has never been before---ordering that certain types of healthcare be delivered at ‘no cost’ by insurers (ie. tab ultimately picked up by the rest of us) as part of Obamacare, the challenge to which will be heard by the Supreme Court in March with verdict expected in June. Obama could not wait to see that outcome but instead stepped on the moral values of the Catholic Church as well as the business of private sector insurance companies. Where does the Constitution endow Obama with this right much less any of the other orders he has enacted unilaterally without Congress? Just how far is he willing to go in transforming America into a totalitarian state?
This pales in comparison to the very negative ramifications of Obama’s failure to approve the Alaska XL Pipeline project, a friendly and cooperative effort by our oil-rich Canadian neighbor which could have soon delivered more than 700,000 barrels of oil to the United States each day and gone a long way towards lowering our energy costs and enhancing our national security by helping rid us of our dependence on Venezuela and OPEC. Obama in effect chose to turn his back on an offer too good to refuse from a good neighbor to the north and instead keep America dependent on distant sources of oil subject to the whims of the Saudis and the Chavez regime. Obama’s decision also did no favor for the millions of unemployed Americans who would have been employed by this project except to guarantee they will remain unemployed while we all pay higher energy prices.
Another example of King Obama’s end run around Congress is the enactment of his ‘Dream Act’ to grant amnesty to illegals over the objections of almost all Americans including legal immigrants (and the Congress). His executive orders are those of a dictator and not of an American president who follows the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law. It is the Congress which has responsibility for passing laws with strict adherence to our Constitution. That branch has failed us, due soley to the blockade by Senate Majority Leader Reid of countless productive bills passed from the House. “Dirty Harry” does not want to pass anything which might give credit to the GOP, and so at least 20 bills related to economic recovery have not been allowed to the Senate floor. Obama falsely blames the GOP for this paralysis when, in fact, it is his party which bears the blame.
Sunday, the Administration unveiled some details about a proposed new ‘budget’ for next fiscal year despite having no budget for the past three years and running the national debt to astronomical levels with frivolous spending on impractical ideologically -driven projects designed to reward Obama’s friends and supporters. As expected, his new proposed budget does nothing to address entitlement spending which is about to take America off a cliff, while insisting that taxes be raised on certain groups including corporations which already are crushed by regulations and high taxes. Is it no wonder companies move their production overseas? Obama absurdly thinks he can lure them back through a one-time forgiveness of taxes if they repatriate---but no company has incentive to repatriate in the face of higher taxation and endless regulations. Obama’s budget is not a real budget but another act of chicanery designed to create class envy/warfare, part of his divide and conquer strategy for reelection. His proposed budget doubles the rate of spending which got the nation into this mess to begin with and claims to reduce the deficit by 4 trillion dollars in the next decade which is simply false. What he does not tell us is that the unaffordability of Obamacare will literally carry America over the cliff and the next decade will no longer matter.
While Governor Romney may not be as conservative as many of us patriots like, he is not an anti-American Marxist whose strings are pulled by radical Leftists like George Soros and the pathetic loser radicals of the sixties who have taken the reins of our government through Obama and now control much of the media (to wit, today’s report of Leftwing Media Matters providing misrepresentations of the conservative agenda to major media outlets such as MSNBC). This election is America’s last chance to wake up to reality and extricate ourselves from these radical hijackers. Should that fail, there are but two options--- revolution or to sink into a totalitarian regime run by a dictator who will destroy the balance of powers created by the Constitution—and along with that our liberties, security and respect as the greatest nation on Earth. Those who vote based upon skin color and empty ( teleprompter-assisted) promises had better wake up before it’s too late for them and their children.
