When Obama told breathless liberal throngs that he would “totally change the U.S. economic system” and “totally change America,” they cheered; but like lemmings they soon witlessly began pouring over the “Obama cliff” into an social and economic abyss; and it was all “Bushes’” fault. If ever there was a “high-schoolish” bunch of bumbling idiots, it is those who drink that hogwash! To their credit, some realized at the last moment just how far Obama intended to take the country and hastily diverged from certain destruction. For many survivors of Obama teleprompter rhetoric it was not a moment too soon that they belatedly realized Obama wasn’t kidding and that the change they were reaping was not the utopia they envisioned.
Obama told everyone what he intended to do and he spun it in such a way that no one could accuse him of lying about his intentions. To “Joe the Plumber” he said, “I want to spread the wealth around.” That sounded good to millions who thought it would be a panacea for their overextended lifestyles. Some giggled with glee at the prospect of Obama making their house and car payments out of “his stash.” Other’s asked for new kitchen appliances and others worshiped at the altar of expanded government. Underlying it all is a sinister effort to destroy the greatest nation in history and he will succeed if Americans let him. He spent trillions “to save the economy” that any sane observer realized was nothing more that payback to labor unions (AFL-CIO) or vote buying of state government union workers (SEIU). Now that stimulus money has been spent and no economic activity resulted, one notes that taxes collected on stimulus spending is disproportionately small, so rather than stimulate the economy it actually stretched out the recession months longer than it would have lasted otherwise.
If one likes what Obama and Democrats have done to the economy: such as keeping the recession going for 12-16 months longer than it would have been without congressional Democrat and Obama Administration’s meddling; U.S. Foreign policy by intentionally marginalizing the U.S. position in the world (Interesting head-fake in Libya forced by Clinton, then quickly withdrawn under pressure from U.S. Muslims; what an embarrassment and international disgrace. Proud of your country now Michelle?); domestic social policy by abrogating his Constitutional responsibility to defend the Defense of Marriage Act while simultaneously cramming homosexual behavior down the throats of the military services; imposing "Obamacare" on the country against it’s wishes that no economy can sustain without massive tax increases; then it is evident that such an one is oblivious to, does not care, or has a socialist/perverted view of the future of the country.
The country is at a critical crossroads, one where wisdom, foresight and strong leadership are needed to avert national disaster. Real, selfless, patriotic leadership is needed in both Houses of Congress and the White House. Yet, Democrats in the Senate continue their destructive legislative behavior while Obama says, “Call me if you need me.” One can state without equivocation that this country is in it’s greatest state of disarray since the Civil War and that fact is every bit intentional on the part of the man who promised to “totally change America” along with Democrat lemmings in Congress.
However there is comic relief provided by Democrats’ attempts to demonize the “tea party.” Evidently, they learned nothing from the drubbing they took in the November 2010 elections. Message to Democrats: It was the “tea party” that handed you that monumental defeat and it will continue until you get your head out of the sand, or some other dark place. Your place in the dust bin of history is assured; so, keep up the “good work!”
