Freedom of Speech? Ask Limbaugh

It’s doubtful, but some may know Gloria Allred. Allred, a “Femi-Nazi” attorney who like “righteous brothers” Sharpton and Jackson chasing racial issues, chases female gender issues with the same passion, albeit hardly as pure as a Southern Baptist preacher seeking lost souls.  Following her self-serving, grandstanding contribution to the successful destruction of Herman Cain’s Presidential candidacy (the left couldn’t have a black man running against a mulatto), her income stream was evidently down.  So, when Rush Limbaugh correctly made reference to a 30 year old law student as a slut and prostitute, Ms. Allred in full pharisaical, self righteous, hypocritical, “Femi-Thumping” grandeur has now called for prosecution of Mr. Limbaugh.

The left has been squealing like a truckload of stuck pigs at Limbaugh’s “outrageous” comments. But when it was the left maligning, no, “slutifying” Congresswoman Michelle Bachman, Governor Sarah Palin, or Governor Brewer and others, their collective silence was deafening! “Ambulance chaser” Allred has about as much integrity in honest debate as a bucket of warm spit has ability to quench an NFL player’s thirst.  The challenge that confronts Americans is that most of the media including some at “Fair and Balanced” FOX News buy into the nonsense.

At the Congressional panel before which Ms. Fluke presented her testimony, she effectively admitted to engaging in sexual conduct whose cost for contraception over a three year period was $3000.00. Assuming the cost per episode was two dollars, $3000.00 would support1500 episodes or a once per day activity.

The definition of “slut” from a number of dictionaries is to the effect: “I`n general, a woman who is sexually promiscuous, or a prostitute.” (The distinction between slut and prostitute being that the latter receives compensation.) Ms. Fluke volunteered to testify as an expert witness, a status that was evidently supported by personal experience at the $3000.00, three year level; and which substantiates Mr. Limbaugh’s characterization. The left’s outrage against Limbaugh arises from the fact that he lowered himself by his own admission, shame on him, to the level of typical leftist vitriol.  Evidently, the left reserves the right to use that sort of language to itself.

The Congressional Hearing was intended to showcase “women’s rights” versus Catholic Church doctrine and to blunt criticism of the Obama Administration’s direction that self-insured employers and insurance companies provide “free” contraceptives. The “itty bitty” problem is that the use of contraceptives is a violation of Catholic teaching, and as an employer and self-insured entity the Church would be required by the Obama Administration to violate its teachings, in violation of the 1st Amendment; nothing new here.  It is outrageous that the Congress has not initiated impeachment proceedings! What the hell did we elect them to do if not uphold and defend the Constitution. Yes, I know, it’s about their careers, not the American people! We have one such careerist in Northwest Florida, so we know careerism well.

Next, Churches will be required to hire female and homosexuals priests because Obama’s Department of Labor will issue regulations that prohibit “workplace” discrimination.  Then the Food and Drug Administration will prohibit the Church from administering the Eucharist because consumption of the “host” violates food purity standards of Title 21 U.S. Code. Far fetched? Not with Obama in office. Tell me again O’Reilly, “he’s just inexperienced, he doesn’t know what he is doing.”

Sounding much like the recent stewardess-gone-amuck on an American Airlines flight, Femi-Nazi “talking heads” screech that a significant percent of Catholic women use contraceptives.  So? No doubt Catholic Church leaders are shaking in their boots at “talking heads” and The View’s outrage. 

Obama promised to totally change America and this as one more way he is attempting to change it. However, he will lose. Catholic women, even those who do not agree with the contraception doctrine will vote against him for his not-so-veiled intervention in Church doctrine.

Gasoline, Obama’s Proverbial Economic Iceberg

For three years we have written that given the enormous expansion of the money supply by the Federal Reserve prompted by Obama and supporting Democrats’ deficit spending would result in serious if not hyper-inflation.  No one in the media is reporting on it except Bill O’Reilly of Fox News, and Newt Gingrich as a campaign issue, singling out the cost of gasoline which has doubled since Obama took office. By way of background, the price of crude oil has risen from $3.35 per barrel in the early ‘70s to $108.00 per barrel today, roughly a 3200% increase. The price of gasoline has risen as shown on the chart below since Obama came into office.

 
Beginning in February 2009 the national average cost of gasoline increased from $1.89 to $3.68 per gallon today, with some places in California charging as much as $6.00 per gallon.

The Obama administration is solidly on record for supporting higher gasoline prices as a way to reduce oil consumption in concert with the stated “green” objective to protect and improve the environment. Any sane person would agree to optimizing use of renewable and passive energy resources. However, underlying that objective is the political objective to “spread the wealth around” which in my opinion is unconstitutional on its face. Collaterally, the purpose of taxation is to run the Federal Government, not to take from the rich in order to “spread the wealth around.”

Not coincidentally, the policy of fostering higher prices also increases associated tax revenues that would be available to spread around. Note: The cost of fuel to an automobile driver who drives 15K miles per year has increased by $125.00 per month or $1500.00 per year from the beginning of the Obama Administration. Is doubling the price of gasoline natural economic inflation, or is it part of a larger effort to “totally change the economic system?” We believe the latter. Decreasing buying power is one way of describing inflation.  For example, an identical item that cost $17.28 cents in 1970 costs $100.00 today, about 550% inflation, this last being a condition that results from government spending large amounts more than it takes in. 

Another inflation indicator is that in the last 52 weeks, prices for a basket of groceries purchased from five major vendors in the Tampa Bay area increased in cost ranging from a low of 6% at WalMart, 7% at Winn Dixie, 8% at Target, 14% at SunBay and to 16% at Publix according to Tampa Bay Online. Part of the increase is directly attributable to higher transportation costs resulting from increase costs of higher diesel and gasoline prices. The price of virtually all goods and services are adversely affected by increased cost of transportation. 

When fuel prices go up, people travel less, the hotel industry has fewer customers, vacationers and business travelers remain for shorter periods or in the latter instance connect some online service such as “Go To Meeting.” Restaurants have fewer customers, airline travel is more expensive, and the entire economy suffers a jolt. Additionally, businesses that rely on crude oil as feedstock have higher raw materials costs that are passed on to retail customers.

Much has been argued about the reason for increased U.S. gasoline costs given a glut of crude oil primarily due to a relatively mild winter. The reason is because gasoline brings a higher price abroad, and the reason for that is because the value of the dollar abroad in relation to local currencies has dropped to all time lows. That makes U.S. refined oil products an attractive purchase that given the global economy is reflected at the U.S. pump as a higher price.

But, Obama now suddenly tells Americans that he is concerned about increasing gasoline prices. He hasn’t been concerned for years, even before he was elected, and his Administration is on record as supporting higher prices as recently as ten days ago, but he is now all of a sudden concerned? Methinks Obama believes that Americans are stupid; and, unfortunately there is ample evidence that he is correct.

What Obama does not comprehend, or if he does is the most damnable President in history, is that his efforts to impose his socialist vision works to the disadvantage of the very disadvantaged ones he purports to help while dragging down everyone else to their level. There have always been very wealthy people, even in the Soviet Union throughout its history as well as that Caribbean workers’ paradise, Cuba. There was and is no such thing as equality, and one can state with absolute certainty, there never will be. Obama recently informed Americans that “Jesus would want us to tax the rich” by his socialist inference. He needs to be reminded that Jesus said, “the poor you will always have with you,” not that this latter is a requirement, rather it is Jesus’ omniscient understanding of the inherent nature of humanity in its fallen state.

Obama’s ultimate goal of “fundamental change” is intentionally vague and filled with generalities designed to dupe those who do not pay attention.  “Hope and Change,” “Yes we can.” All one has to do is check the vote count in the last general election to realize that the majority of Americans are easily duped.  America is in serious jeopardy of it happening again while Obama leads the nation from the “ditch” of mismanagement; to the ideological abyss of “social justice” which itself is an oxymoron.
