For as long as there have been armies their leaders have had to deal with sexual behavior. Ancient Greek military units were often accompanied by young boys who served as vessels for release of testosterone driven sexual impulses. Homosexual behavior has been with humanity for as long as recorded history and in most instances it has been suppressed, often with vengeance.
In the recent past era homosexuals kept their conduct to themselves. But in America, it has evolved from an “in the closet,” sexual practice to one of broad acceptance if not a place of “honor.” Suffice it to note, here’s one who doesn’t condone it, support it, sanctify it, appreciate it or consider it civil. In a phrase, it is a disgusting practice; and, for homosexual advocates, no I’m not homophobic, whatever that is supposed to do as a label. I, like 97% of Americans am normal but unlike many am not afraid to address the issue head-on. It doesn’t take a mental giant to conclude that it is no wonder that homosexual behavior has been historically discouraged or prohibited. Both advocates and apologists make every known excuse, then some to justify it, most of which are bogus all in the name of “equality.”
Until Bill Clinton became President of the United States mainstream religious history and U.S. law proscribed homosexual conduct. Clinton’s move to normalize it was his most ignoble moment; well, until Lewinski, and a string of other issues that ultimately resulted in his impeachment and disbarment. “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” set the stage for eventual open homosexual military service and the prospect of not only homosexual marriage, but given logical consistency sexual unions between animals and humans.
What is behind the push for homosexuals to serve openly in the military? Their bottom line is complete equality (despite the fact that it is literally unachievable); and that includes among other things, marriage. So far even Obama, arguably the most liberal President in history resists the notion of marriage for homosexuals although he has it under active consideration, taking the traditional position that “marriage is between one man and one woman;” but on the other hand hypocritically and for political expediency does not enforce the Federal “Defense of Marriage Act.” With the passage of time and the idea of homosexuals serving openly in the military becomes passé, a cry will no doubt arise, “If they can serve and die for our country, they should be allowed to ‘marry.’”
If marriage is a contract between two people, “to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, till death do us part,” then there is an element of logic to their demand. But if marriage is a sacred institution (oh, oh, here comes the “G” word) ordained of God, there is zero indication in primary Christian, Jewish, Islamic, or Mormon literature and doctrinal writings that would sanctify the unity of same sex couples. A survey of the world’s other major religions reveals general proscriptions against homosexual conduct with minor exceptions, which automatically excludes homosexual marriage. Homosexual advocates know all of this and that is the reason they enlist atheists’ help to remove the religious factor, and rogue religious operatives to subvert from within. All the while most Americans out of an abundance of naïve magnanimity accept their arguments.
At Obama’s request in 2010, the Democrat controlled Congress of the United States in an act of supreme arrogance, or cowardice, or both codified homosexuality as normal by imposing its open tolerance upon the Armed Forces. Ironically, in the process that same Democrat controlled Congress did not change the Uniform Code of Military Justice 925. ART. 125. SODOMY which states:
“(a) Any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy. Penetration, however slight, is sufficient to complete the offense."
"(b) Any person found guilty of sodomy shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”
Therefore, any person subject to jurisdiction of the UCMJ who openly confesses to or otherwise confirms engagement in homosexual conduct is guilty of Sodomy as a matter of law. One trusts and has confidence that military commanders have an understanding of and integrity to enforce the provisions of Article 125 with the same, no more, no less diligence than they do any other provision of the UCMJ.
