Having problems with your lawn or plants? If so, take advantage of diagnostic plant clinics offered by the UF/IFAS Santa Rosa County Extension and the Santa Rosa County Master Gardeners.
Plant clinics are now offered at two Santa Rosa County Extension Offices.
In Milton, the plant clinic will be conducted every Monday during the summer from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Extension office located at 6263 Dogwood Drive, Milton.
In Gulf Breeze, the plant clinic is conducted every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. year round. The clinic is held at the South Santa Rosa Service Center located at 5819 Gulf Breeze Parkway.
The Plant Clinic is not a class or lecture. It is designed to provide a place and time for people to bring in samples of plants for diagnosis. If you have a plant problem that you would like help with, bring a sample of the weed, plant, insect, etc. to the clinic. Be sure to bring a fresh sample that represents the problem seen in your landscape. This may include a plant stem with several leaves, an 8-inch square of grass with roots attached, etc. You may also bring a sample of your soil for pH testing or an irrigation well water sample to determine the salt content. A good sample will help us help you.
For information on what type of sample to bring, please call the Santa Rosa County Extension Office at (850) 623-3868 or visit our website at http://santarosa.ifas.ufl.edu/lawn_garden_diagnostic.shtml.
