The socialist government propaganda machines, the national broadcast and print media, eagerly show images of the extreme poverty during the depression of the last century. Old film clips of long lines waiting at soup kitchens, followed by stories of starving and malnourished children wearing shirts and dresses made from flour sacks, flood the airways and media. Following these old film clips come new stories of homeless destitute individuals and families in liberal utopias like Detroit and New York.
All of these old and current images lead to the question: “How could this happen in America?” Somehow these all knowing propaganda organs want their viewers to think they know all the political answers; however, they cannot comprehend that the desire to control everyone’s life from one place will only lead to these types of situations.
Now we return to the basic question. Who will be hurt the most? As young children grow and mature they learn to problem solve. This characteristic is almost exclusive to the human race, and when left alone individuals will solve their own unique problems in the most efficient way. The key phrase in the sentence above is “when left alone.’ The socialistic sympathetic national teachers unions need only provide the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic. To be successful in life’s journey, young children need to understand that they must succeed individually before they can help others to succeed.
All over America there is a tremendous amount of work that needs to be done. There are blighted areas that need to be cleaned up. There are forests that need cutting. There are manufacturing plants sitting idle. There are warehouses that need stock moved, sorted and shipped. There are senior and handicapped individuals that need attention and care. There are streets that need repair and roads that need to be built. There are gas pipes to be laid, and utility lines to be constructed. There is an endless list of incomplete jobs.
On the other side of the equation is the need for human labor. There are individuals, ready, willing and able to do the work, but they have one small dilemma. The ever increasing socialistic government of the United States continues to generate more and more just plain stupid government rules, regulations and involvement in the citizen’s private lives. The congress, with an ever more liberal tilt, has determined that every hour of work must have a minimum cost. The net effect is to have eager individuals ready, and willing to work for ten dollars only to have a government bureaucrat say that an employer must pay forty dollars for the job and the task is just not worth that much. When an individual wishes to grow a crop to feed others, the government determines that some minnow needs the river water more than the crop. Brokers match a buyer and seller, only to have the sales stalled by government bureaucrats.
In years gone by, the American workforce consistently proved they were the most productive on the planet. American worker produced more for less than anyone else in the world. The American standard of living went up for everyone. This national productivity came from free individuals working and deciding what was best for themselves in a free market.
Over the next three years while the socialist in Washington try to convert the United States from a free market society to one of socialism, look for the nation to suffer like never before. However there will be individuals that will come out on top because they will always find ways around governmental bureaucrats. Those that do not wait for a government to provide for their wellbeing will get ahead while the ignorant and foolish will stand in long lines for the crumbs their commissar will allow them.
