Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly demanded Tuesday to know why the community leaders who rail against stop-and-frisk policies haven’t led demonstrations against the gun violence exploding this summer.
“There doesn’t seem to be any major community response,” Kelly said.
“Many of them will speak out about stop-and-frisk” but are “shockingly silent when it comes to the level of violence right in their own communities,” he said.
The Police commissioner of New York has confronted “community leaders” including members of the city council, and has managed to raise the ire of many in his accusations.
In his long address, he spoke at length about the increase in “minimally invasive” actions, increased precisely because of the increasing violence, and assurred that 90% of those who have been actually violated in their right to be free in their person, their right to be subject to search only with an act, an accuser, a committed crime with witnesses, and with said witnesses swearing or affirming the crime, the object or subject of the search, and its precise location, as the fourth amendment of our Constitution unequivocally states must be fulfilled for any lawful search.
Ignored is the long known fact, criminals don’t follow the law. Completely abrogated is the absolute right every person has to defend themselves and their lives with any and all means of defense. Completely denied is the fact the city is in the hands of the criminals precisely because the right of citizens to their lives has been denied them.
The Police, the City Council, all the titular “leaders” proclaim the purpose of police is to “serve and protect”, and to be capable of doing so, they must ban the citizen from exercizing his absolute right to defend his own life. There is no understanding in the minds of the commissioner, his second, no one in the city council understands they have effectively told the whole community, “you aren’t responsible enough to defend your own selves, your homes, apartments, your families, and we can’t allow you to think so, and have weapons, so you have to simply accept we have to stop and frisk everyone, to keep you safe, and by the way, it’s not our fault the ten percent we find with weapons, already did their crimes, and have killed some of you.”
At our inception, the American People had an advantage over almost every other Nation in the world, we established as a principle of natural law, the right to life included the absolute right to self defense, and we encoded our absolute right to “all the terrible instruments of war” as “the Natural Birth Right” of the American Citizen, as our defense against crime, as our tools to fulfill our duty to defend our State, and as the tools to defend our communities.
The only way any form of “police force” can “serve and protect” is by active intrusive actions, controlling the movement and actions of a community. Without invasive action, the police can only round up perpetrators and see them prosecuted. They must violate us if they are to protect us, and we fought for our independence to keep a government from installing our protection in our own homes, with troops.
Those who consider the very idea of each and every citizen armed, as a nightmare come true, see this from a perspective where no one is armed, and somehow, arms magically appear, to be taken up by criminals, but the truth is, guns are literally everywhere. Any child can buy one on the street, as can any adult. Guns are nothing but a tool, an engine of force.
History has long shown anything which a government bans will immediately be available within minutes, in a back alley, because banning has just made it an extremely profitable enterprize. Isn’t it time we recognise we cannot ban things with an expecation they will go away, but only ensure it is professional criminal enterprises which open a new stall in the black market for what ever has just been banned, and realise, doing this is literally waging a war on the citizens, by the government?
The reason The Community marches in the streets against the “stop and frisk” is because they are experiencing their rights abrogated by those who’s only purpose is the defense of their “unalienable rights”, and they needn’t fear the government, while they march.
They don’t rise and march against the violence, because they have every reason to fear being noted by those who have guns, and while they can march, they are denied any means of defending themselves from the actual criminals, the only security they are ever allowed is by surrendering their rights, and accepting a police state.
